Welcome to Inspired Flat-Coated Retrievers and American Hairless Terriers.
A little about us.
We are located in Denham Springs, Louisiana (a rural area east of Baton Rouge). We love and live for our dogs and dog activities. We participate in conformation, obedience, rally, agility, dock diving, lure coursing and FAST CAT, barn hunt, trick dog, and even therapy work! Relaxing in the front yard and fetching tennis balls in the evening rounds out busy days.
I am striving to produce great healthy family dogs that fit the breed standard well. Occasionally I have a litter. All puppies are raised following the Puppy Culture protocol and evaluated with Volhard testing. We match our puppies with families that we know they will flourish with and achieve their potential (even if that potential is being the best house dog).
You can find all of my dogs' health testing on the OFA(Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) website. I strongly advice looking at breeders that do the parent club recommended health testing, and are members of good standing with their breed club(you can check with the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America or the American Hairless Terrier Club of America).
Though I don't have any current plans for Flat-Coat litters I would be happy to talk about the breed with you and try to help you find a good breeder that may have puppies available.
